How GrabAMatch uses text messages.
GrabAMatch is a peer coordination service for in-person sports and games — pickleball, tennis, bridge, mahjong, and similar weekly crew activities. When an organizer posts a match, the service texts the friends they personally invited so the group can confirm a roster and show up at the same place and time.
That's the complete list. GrabAMatch does not send retention texts, "we miss you" nudges, marketing, promotions, referrals, or any kind of feed prompts.
Up to about four messages per match you're invited to. If you're part of a recurring weekly group, expect roughly one invite plus up to two reminders per week.
You receive GrabAMatch texts because someone you know personally — a match organizer — added your phone number to a roster after you told them you wanted to be invited to their games. There is no automated number collection, no contact-list import, no purchased lists. The organizer who added you is responsible for confirming you consented before they entered your number.
Reply STOP to any GrabAMatch message and we will not send you another text. You can also reply UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT — any of them will stop messages for that phone number. Reply HELP to receive information about the service.
Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply to GrabAMatch texts. GrabAMatch itself is free to use.
